This seminar will provide pertinent information regarding the physiology of various disease states, new anesthetic techniques and medications, and modernized modes of therapy.
• Apply appropriate physical and behavioral sciences to the planning, delivery and monitoring of anesthesia. • Apply critical thinking skills to problem solve in a wide variety of anesthetic situations. • Identify advisories, recommendations or guidelines of pertinent groups or institutions considered leading authorities in the practice of anesthesia as it pertains to: anesthesia outside the operating room environment, post operative visual loss, and obstructive sleep apnea. • Explain how electronic systems and technology can improve quality of clinical practice.
