Anesthesia is not immune to the evolving world of pay-for-performance policies. And because anesthesia is involved in so many areas of care, the impact of an anesthesia quality program on the bottom line is significant. Traditionally, the specialty of anesthesia has been process driven. Today, reimbursements are shifting toward being outcome driven, whereby the total care process for a patient is monitored, measured and reported at each clinical encounter.
Somnia Anesthesia will be exhibiting at the ASA annual meeting. Come visit us at booth 1804.
Somnia will be sponsoring an HFMA webinar on October 12 from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm EST. Speakers include, Todd Hofheins, CFO, Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, Marc Koch, MD, CEO, Somnia Anesthesia and Robert Goldstein, MD, CMO, Somnia Anesthesia.

MGMA is the premier membership association for professional administrators and leaders of medical group practices. Since 1926, MGMA has delivered networking, professional education and resources and political advocacy for medical practice management. The Association started as a small network of clinic managers, called the National Association of Clinic Managers, which met for the first time in Madison, Wis., in 1926. The name was changed to the Medical Group Management Association in 1963 to reflect the diverse management roles found in group practice.
MGMA serves 21,500 members who lead 13,700 organizations nationwide in which some 275,000 physicians provide more than 40 percent of the healthcare services delivered in the United States. Its diverse membership comprises administrators, CEOs, physicians in management, board members, office manager and many other management professionals. They work in medical practices and ambulatory care organizations of all sizes and types, including integrated systems and hospital- and medical school-affiliated practices.
